Vectorial Light in Noisy Channels

Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/322163

Structured light has become topical of late, where light is tailored in all its degrees of freedom for both fundamental science and applications alike. In this talk, Prof. Andrew Forbes will review recent progress in vectorial light, and highlight its propagation through noisy channels, e.g., a turbulent atmosphere and non ideal fibre, showing that there is a hidden invariance that can be exploited for real world applications.
